A cost allocation model for optimizing the inventory of a supply chain with controllable lead time

چکیده
In most Supply chain management researches, lead time is considered as a predetermined and fixed parameter. In recent years, some researchers are motivated to consider controllable lead time as a decision variable but they have only considered single product and two-echelon supply chains. This paper proposes a cost allocation model considering the elements of a three echelon supply chain consists of a retailer, a manufacturer and a distributor with multiple products and controllable lead time. After presenting a case with independent decision making and ordering policy by each member, a model will be proposed in which all of the elements of the supply chain are cooperating with each other and have a unique ordering policy. The proposed model will determine the optimal order quantity in the mentioned situation. Finally, we will examine the proportion of the crashing lead time related costs that each part of the chain should pay in order to make the group decision making beneficiary for all of the chain members. Integrated Inventory Model with Controllable Lead Time Involving Investment for Quality Improvement in Supply Chain System
The purpose of this article is to investigate a two-echelon supply chain inventory problem consisting of a single-vendor and a single-buyer with controllable lead time and investment for quality improvements. This paper presents an integrated vendor-buyer inventory model in order to minimize the sum of the ordering cost, holding cost, setup cost, investment for quality improvement and crashing ...
متن کاملAn Integrated Inventory Model with Controllable Lead time and Setup Cost Reduction for Defective and Non-Defective Items
In this paper, the study deals with the lead time and setup reduction problem in the vendor-purchaser integrated inventory model. The cost of capital (i.e., opportunity cost) is one of the key factors in making the inventory and investment decisions. Lead time is an important element in any inventory system. The proposed model is presents an integrated inventory model with controllable lead tim...
متن کاملOptimizing location, routing and inventory decisions in an integrated supply chain network under uncertainty
This study extends a mathematical model that integrates the location, allocation, inventory replenishment and routing decisions simultaneously. To cope with inherent uncertainty of parameters, we implement a continuous-time Markov process and derive the performance measures of the system. Using the obtained results, the problem is formulated as a mixed integer nonlinear programing model (MINLP)...
متن کاملA single-vendor and a single-buyer integrated inventory model with ordering cost reduction dependent on lead time
Lead time is one of the major limits that affect planning at every stage of the supply chain system. In this paper, we study a continuous review inventory model. This paper investigates the ordering cost reductions are dependent on lead time. This study addressed two-echelon supply chain problem consisting of a single vendor and a single buyer. The main contribution of this study is that the in...
متن کاملA seller-buyer supply chain model with exponential distribution lead time
Supply chain is an accepted way of remaining in the competition in today's rapidly changing market. This paper presents a coordinated seller-buyer supply chain model in two stages, which is called Joint Economic Lot Sizing (JELS) in literature. The delivery activities in the supply chain consist of a single raw material. We assume that the delivery lead time is stochastic and follows an exponen...
